Never petted a fish but I'm going on 3 years dry. Well worth the journey! (not to mention a truly strange left turn in this thread

Wow, I'm glad you are okay now. My 10" Midas bite my finger a couple of weeks ago when I was putting food in his tank. He jump up and got my pinkie. It surprised me more then anything and then at work the blue gill kept hitting my hand when I was moving the plants around.
I think I would have been very angry with that lung fish, definitely looks like it hurt... I suppose if you are a fighter, you are more equipped to handle these kind of injuries. ;P

lol my Jack Dempsey is especially aggresive he bites me constantly when Im vacuuming around the mass of lava rock in my 55 gallon

also, i keep my lung in a tank on the floor with no lid on it as well... as long as no kids are gonna stick their fingers in it's okay. my kids are afraid of the lung. i told them if they are bad, i'm gonna feed them to him.:evil_lol:

that's awesome hrdwdflr, stick with it. it gets easier after it stops getting harder, if you know what i mean. it's worth it though.
