Will salt hurt my plants?

It stresses fish, and if allowed to intensify can kill fish over time.
It must be treated longer than many people realize, or it can/will re-occur.
It can be treated with higher temps. and once it starts to fade leave the temp. up there for a couple of extra weeks or it may return.
If it was my tank, I would use un-iodized(just my old school hangup) salt at 1/2 strength and clear it out of the system with multiple water changes after I was sure the fungus was gone.
Salt does not evaporate out of the water column. It stays there if not diluted/removed through water changes.

You didn't mention what kind of plants you have, but I use instant ocean mix, 1 tsp to 5 gallons of water, for my african cichlid tank, and the java moss just keeps growing, and growing, and growing... As for fish, a little salt, either marine salt like instant ocean, which also has trace minerals, or non-iodized table salt, or even rock salt, is usually beneficial, in small amounts. I used it for years with south american cichlids, and it really seemed to improve their color and overall condition.
