Making a stock wish list for a 90 gallon, let me know if this can work.
albino oscar,
iridescent shark, pleco, tinfoil barbs, pacu's, red parrot cichlid, and a school of giant danios?

No...
Pacus can exceed over 40''
ID sharks can exceed way over 2 ft
This stock can work:
1x oscar, 2x tinfoil barbs, 1x pleco, 2x blood parrots, and 2x silverdollars.

Pacus exceed 30"...FAR too large.

ID sharks will easily outgrow that tank as well. Pangasius are not fish for the normal aquarium.

Which species of pleco?

Giant danios might become lunch. The blood parrot (I assume thats what you mean) probably will get bullied by the oscar.

ok, replace pacu with silver dollar

the only fish i have right now is the ID shark, he is a baby.
the tank mates are being planned around him, i thought of doing an above ground pond for him in the basement also.
So skip the oscar as well then? too risky with the ID shark?

an ID shark should not be in your tank. they will easily top 3 feet. if he is still small, take him to an LFS now before he gets to big and you wont be able to find him a home.

so if i take him back to the store, where they were selling about 30 of them, how do i know he will end up in a huge tank? maybe he will end up in a 10 gallon? should i just flush him and spare him the misery? it makes no sense to bring him back.
I have a 220g reef tank, maybe in a few years i will get bored of reefing, tare it down and then that can be the ID sharks new home. How many people do you know with a 220 gallon tank on hand? or be willing to set up a pond for him.
I think he is better off with me dont you think?
unless you know of someone who can provide for him? and what about the millions of others that are in stores right now? will you provide for them too?
I changed my stock list to more peacefull species, dropping the oscar, and pacu of course, going with larger schooling fish, but will keep the blood parrots on the list because with their funny little mouths they never do damage (i had a pair for years with tiger barbs and black tetras)

Have to agree ^^^^^

The Id shark and pacus need a 10'+ tank easily. The Silver Dollars are too timid to go in that tank as BP and Oscar are the aggressive ones. Silver Dollars should be kept in a shoal of 6.

That takes you down to Oscar, tinfoil barbs, BPs, and pleco even if it is a common plec. That is a very full tank and you will need heavy-duty filtration on it. You will also need to be very dedicated to the maintenance of it.

Do not do this stocking if you don't have the time or dedication required for it.

Sorry but no one is going to support you on keeping the ID shark if you don't have the tank already.

this is exactly why they should be banned. pacus as well, and even common plecos. people just dont know what they are getting into.

a 220 is not enough. we're talking over 500 gallons here.

a 500 gallon pond can be done in my basement,
but nuff said, i got all the info i needed, no oscar, no pacu's, i will get tinfoil barbs in place of the silver dollars.
I know of ID sharks that have topped 27", but they were 16 years old. I had one for three years back in the 80's, he maxed out at 12", tank was wiped out because of a heater malfunction...so i at least know i got a few years to plan on an indoor pond. There is no way hes going to be three feet in a few years, my koi in a 3,000 pond arent even three feet yet, and they grow faster than ID's.
why are their so many complainers in this world? I have never encountered anyone like the people on boards in real life..so just get over it everyone and go have your hissy fits in real life so you can truly be heard instead of on a forum like chickens.
Its not like i have the last ID shark on earth..they are all over the place! maybe one day they will be banned..maybe not, but you people serioulsy gotta get a grip or go out and do something about it, picket pet stores, write to the government, anything..but complaining here isnt exactly going to do anything.
If i said i owned SeaWorld and had a place for him, you people still wouldnt be happy

why dont you go look on you tube and really pass out, you will find huge pacu's in 55 gallon tanks! with ID sharks! and oscars! oh my!
