Windows 7

That is true, but your programs will need to be reinstalled. The old installation will be in a new folder named, windows.old .

Not neccessarily, no...I have done upgrades on Win7 and progs have still worked...thats why its called upgrade, not clean install ;)

You know I bought vista after hearing so called legit reviews about it being so reliable and I can't stand it constantly freezing up. How do we know Windows 7 is really any better, especially going through all of that trouble for it.

As i was part of the Tech Beta, not the "download and run" public beta ( ;) ), i've been running it for about a year now...cant fault it be honest....

I've been running 7 for about 9 months now on one of my pcs and its o.....k...I have vista on my laptop and hate it with a passion..I have win98 and xp on another and simply cant get enough of it the things you can do with win98 and xp are amazing

and as for your programs as long as you have the serials for the program you should have no issue getting them downloaded again and just put in your serial
