a snail.....

snails = evil incarnate

Make no mistake about it. Once they're done with your fish, they'll
come after you. They'll find a way out of that tank and then... (argh)

Oh, just thought of something, I've only got one fish in one of my 10g's and I'm not adding anything else acept plants.If you don't like the fish you have, WHY ARE YOU KEEPING THEM? plastic fish can look just as good.

I personally am an advocate of keeping the "pest" maylasian trumpet snails in all my tanks, they'll eat excess food and if theres too much of this youl know theres a problem because they'll be thousands of maylasian trumpet snails. Larger snails are actually something you should be proud of breeding and raising in your tank(s).

snails lay eggs then multiply and fill the tank with them am i right?
Depends on the type of snails. You can buy a single apple snail and it wont lay eggs if it doesnt have a mate. It could possibly be pregnant when you purchase it, but they put their eggs above the waterline and they are very easliy seen so you could always remove them before they hatch.

If you added pond snails or malasians, they can over run the tank if given the right conditions (ie. overfeeding, not enough water changing)... I was suggesting adding an apple... sorry I didn't explain that....
