Working out, works for you?

When I'm on it, my routine's stretching followed by 20 minutes of hitting the stair-stepper hard and fast (closest thing I've found to climbing sand dunes), then another 20 of elliptical/bike/or treadmill. Then I do more stretching, hit the weights for 20-40 minutes (depending on what area I'm focusing on/how many reps I can do on a given day). Then I stretch again before I hit the pool for some slow cool-down laps, sauna and shower. I try to go in the evening before dinner....I find overall I'm less hungry afterwards, but more hungry for healthier things. I also sleep a lot better. I try to go around 5 days a week but sometimes it's more like 2 or 3 when things get busy.

My 67 year old father does a 3 hour work out every other day and jogs 3-4 miles twice every single day. Upon going to the doctor, he was informed he is healthier than the average 40 year old. He has won national bench press championships and has been a fiend in the gym his whole entire life. I hate the gym rofl.

I bought a huge hamster wheel 24' diameter and I jump in several times a day and spin for 10 minutes then jump out!:liar:

Forgot to mention that when I was younger and had a boat my workout was barefoot and slalom water skiing.

hang in there.
I use to body build.
6 days per week split routines. 2 hrs in the am 2 hrs in the pm.

did this for 22 years.
I worked using muscle confusion.. breaking the body into sections back, shoulders arms legs abs worked every day.

cardio in the pm or am depending on the schedule.

it became a life style.

my body eventually caught up to me...but the workouts kept me in great shape into my mid 40's..

now it's light (relative) easy work outs..
