would you buy one of these fish?

If I ever do set up that tacky tank they would be the centerpiece fish with some glo-fish up to the top and a few albino corys to fill out the bottom. Nice neon gravel, a few orange and red fake plants, and a bubble volcano in the middle... oh, and a sunken pirate ship of course.

My thoughts on genetic engineering: it's a risk we will take regardless of what religion, politics, or ethics tell us. We can't stop it any more then we could stop people from trying to reach the moon, create WOMD, or decide that earth isn't actually the center of the universe. Like our earliest ancestors playing with fire, we will get burned, but if we can avoid burning to death we will achieve great things with it.

I wouldnt buy them but I dont see a problem with them. As long as there arent any health conditions caused, to the fish or persons owning them, I dont see a problem with it. The real question is how long do fish that have had this done live?

Not for me really, as someone already pointed out they'd look odd in a natural looking environment which I try for with my tanks. I don't really think they're a bad thing though like glofish they're not harmed in the process unlike the physically dyed and tattooed fish.

no... i wouldnt want one.. not my cup of tea.. i think this is wrong on so many levels... whats next? messing with human DNA?! yeah when that happens, therer will be a riot.. but when it comes to animals.... noone seems to care and just go ( oooooh aaaah ).... again.. no i wouldnt buy one..

I don't see the equivalency in your 'If Jesus, then Aliens' statement. Everything sciencey is not all gloom and doom all the time. I, personally, would love to have them in a tank.

nvm

These fish will be easy target for bigger fish to eat in the dark or smaller fish chew on their fins at night. Bad idea
