would you buy one of these fish?

no... i wouldnt want one.. not my cup of tea.. i think this is wrong on so many levels... whats next? messing with human DNA?! yeah when that happens, therer will be a riot.. but when it comes to animals.... noone seems to care and just go ( oooooh aaaah ).... again.. no i wouldnt buy one..

Please inject me with glowing DNA. I wanna be that kid from Sky High who's only power was bio luminescence.

Also, as someone with glofish tetras, I totally want some.

actually, in order to get them (gifts) your either born with them or you dont have them.... dont get me started on that subject though, cause i go into big details...

I have to say I don't quite understand those saying that "It is an abomination to mess with genetics" or "Once we start messing with genetics, we're playing god."
Man has been "messing with genetics" for years. Have you ever seen a chihuahua, a golden retriever or a poodle in the wild? No, because these animals do not exist in nature. They were bred over thousands of years to intentionally pass on the most desirable genes and create creatures tailored to the positions that man needed them to fill (herder, hunter, gatherer, worker, friend).

Just because it wasn't done using a centrifuge and a pipette, doesn't mean it's any different.

There is no way I would buy one or support the actions of those that make them. Supporting them means tacit approval in their actions. We have enough GM going on, we don't need to encourage more. We destroy our environment faster and faster and we only have one planet to live on, we need to do everything we can to maintain it and the lifeforms that it holds. We go playing around with GM and something that we played with might need to become our food one day only to find out it isn't safe to eat. Not wort taking chances. We have enough two-legged monsters on the loose and in prisons. We don't need to create more.
