I am so0o excited!!! This morning I found a baby in the division side with my 3 pregnant guppies so i figured one of them had babies overnight and that was the only survivor..but as I was watching more started appearing!! So it turns out one of the pregnant guppies was JUST giving birth!!

Well, i seperated the other pregnant guppies so there was a less chance of the mother eating her fry and I watched her for awhile..3 hours later I had a total of 28 baby fry!!! :)

I'm so excited because the other pregnant guppy was the exact same size and so i think she may have her fry tonight! And the third pregnant guppy will have her fry within a week!!!

After that I have 4 other females that are a little bit plump..so they might have their babies in a couple weeks...wow I'm going to have so many guppies!!

I just have a few questions though...what should i feed the babies and how many X a day? And also, when can they be released with the parents..The tank is just guppies, a baby pleco, and 2 tiny albino cories.
 
omigosh..i just found another fry on the side with the guppy that gave birth..wow I thought it was done! Is that possible 4 hours after her birth for her to have another?
 
Ya know, after asking basically all the same questions about mollie fry, which are not much different than guppy fry, I think you would have learned something from the anwsers you got from that thread, but obviously not. I believe you also had another thread up that said you already had guppy fry, which was a week or so ago, so what gives? With that thread you must have known how to take care of them, but yet now your claiming you don't have a clue?

Now, yes female guppies can have staged birthings, meaning they will give birth to some of the spawn and a few hours later do the rest, or give birth slowly over the course of a night/day. DO NOT move near full term female guppies with a net, you can kill them and the fry. There is an emense pressure on their abdominal regions with so many fry when lifted out of the water and having the gravity push them against the net, pregnant females should be moved as soon as possible after noticing the pregnancy, but not too late. Fry should be fed the same as the adults twice a day. Finely crushed flake, BBS, or Golden Pearls. At the age of 1.5-2 months you should be able to sex the fry, and you will NEED to separate them. Males commonly mature at 2.5 months and will cause all of your new females to become young mothers. Now with the number of pregnant females you have, you do realize you could easily have over 300 fry in no time just from each of those females going through one birthing cycle. At 20 fry per 10gal you would need a minimum of 150gallons of tank space just to grow them out to a sellable size. Males and females of livebearers should not be kept together unless you are prepared and have the ability to house/raise the fry.

Blunt but true, and tangs and malawis are still very incompatible tankmates.

Umm tsang..I found ONE baby fry and that was just last night..not a couple weeks ago so i have been feeding it crushed flakes until i decided to ask what was better to feed them today..but you obviously didn't read the other boards..I never asked the same questions..and when did I ask about molly fry? I asked about a pregnant molly...if i did, it means my question was not answered..please do not be rude.

And gosh, is it not okay for me to just post about my fry because i was excited?
