Ah, Heros Severum. What do you want to know about them?

anything i wouldnt know from owning guppies and other small fish would be nice . . . i have a 10 gallon . . . its about 5 inch (for now) and yeah . . i would feed it blodworms . . . flakes and chilid pellets i guess . . but lets see what about like filter pressure . . do they like strong currents or . . . not . . and . . . temperature . . . anything else i should do or not do ?

Well you're going to need a bigger tank for a start. Severum are beautiful fish. I have two, a green and a gold. Good filtration, good quality food and decent aeration are necessary. Mine also love Tetra Prima which is a sinking granular food, hikari gold cichlid pellets and the occasional treat of bloodworm. They are a fairly slow growing cichlid but can reach upto 9 or 10" in the right coditions.

Yeah I've got a breeding pair of golds in a 55. They get pretty decent sized, and are pretty fish. I keep the temp around 78-82 and filter it with 2 xp2s, which is probably overkill but it works. I don't use any type of airstone, I have the spray bars from the canister just under the surface of the water. They eat mostly flakes and pellets, occasionally feeder guppies. They lay eggs every 3-4 weeks but I have yet to have any fry survive.

yeah . . . i dont have a bigger tank . . . i just am trying to help him out . . . my uncle might have one . . . but im not sure i have everything else i need though . . so i dont know if i should take him
