Ive got a Yellow Lab in With a Red Devil, the Devil is alot meaner and about the same size as an oscar, he just ignores the lab, not even sure if he knows the lab is in the same tank lol I think you will be fine:)

Concerning oscars

I know oscars quite well. It isn't that their agressive, its just that their hungry, (although oscars are agressive, just a little more passive, but like i said, their just hungry!)
I also agree with the fact that there will be a pH prob too, but good luck anyway!

PH problems are overrated. Ive been housing african/central south american cichlids togeather for years and Ive never ever run into anything remotly close to a problem stemming back to ph incompatability.

I bought a divider and I only plan on using it if they start fighting, otherwise I'm just gonna let them be.
They are still swimming around together and I haven't seen any aggression yet.
Thanks again everyone for your help!:)

sounds good and good lucks

well as far as water chemistry difference i can def see it not working out well but an oscar is a slow moving fish compared to a lab and a 3" difference i dont think is to bad oscars from my experiance dont seem to be nippers if they cant eat it in on bite then generaly its safe as long you have have some hiding spaces i dont think the fighting will be a problem but i dont think iot will do very well as far as water conditions

garbage i agree with you about PH to a certain degree the problem is african cichlids dont seem to handle nitrites/nitrates as well as central/south american cichlids them seem to be a little more forgiven with there water chem..
