I'm currently raising about 100+ baby briggs in my hatchery and once they are big enough I'm selling them to my LFS. I was scanning the tank for anything that might need fixed and whatnot and I came across some odd looking snails. They are from one of my golden's clutches are they have the same golden color as her but they also have slightly darker stripes. I did some research and found a coloring known as yellow-striped so I'm guessing these are what they are. Has anyone had any like this before?

You could look into this chart. My guess was also same as yours, yellow-striped.

Very unusual! This is a pretty typical color for canas but definitely not common for brigs. Nice job spotting this little snail. Perhaps you want to keep him for a breeder? Unusual colors are always fun.
I'm very glad it was not only me who seemed to have thought this. I got plenty of these yellow-striped F1 canas.

Can canas and briggs mate with one another? My golden might be a canas but I'm not really sure. The father is a DSP brigg and the little baby striped seems to be getting darker in color.

All apple snails do not discriminate species and sexes when they copulate each other however canas and brigs cannot crossbreed. Do you have photos of your gold? Please take shots of its spire and mantle in various angles.

Here are some of the pics I have on my computer of her right now. If you need some better ones just let me know.

Lol she's my baby. She was my first snail ever, a pickup from Wal*Mart. At first I thought she was a boy so I named her Amigo and then one day I got back to my dorm room and went to do a water change and found a huge clutch on the lid of my tank. She has tons of kids now, many that look just like her!
