I guess I'll go back to futureshop and talk to a manager or something. Problem is, i was never the type to "talk the loudest".... I seem to always manage to feel bad for the people behind the counter. in any case, I'll just put on some System of a down in my car or on the way to the store to help get the blood rushing!!!!!!

Futureshop still won't be able to fix your iPod any quicker (and still probably won't replace it)...it's likely going to have to go to Apple. If it's not repairable, then Apple may replace it for you.
You might want to check out a couple of websites about iPods to see what others have experienced. iLounge is one good site that's about everything iPod. And ehMac.ca is a good Canadian site for all things Mac and iPod.
