geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesss u guys are driving me bananas!
they do sell those fish for 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

arrrrrrrrrrgh! :pc:

You must be mistaken....they could not even obtain true zebra plecos for 10£ (no breeder would sell them to the shop at less than £75 each unless he was completely mad), and why would they sell them at anything less than the very lowest going price of around $100-$140USD each?

No it's not a clown. It used to be classified as a Peckoltia pulcher, but that has changed recently.

Lets just not argue about whether are not they are true zebras or not. I think flagfish is just trying to decide what to stock the tank with.

I don't think that anyone is trying to intentionally lie. There are other plecos that are commonly called zebras that resemble zebras. Main thing, just make sure you know the size and behavior of the fish you plan to purchase (whether it is a true zebra, or a look alike) If it suits the size of the tank, and you like it- it doesn't really matter whether it is a true zebra or not.

As far as the cory question, there are lots of very attractive cories available and they are very interesting and fun to keep in a school.

How can you know the size and behavior of the fish if you don't even know what kind of fish your buying? Flagfish asked

Zebra Plecos whats the deal, do they need any thing specil cause i would like 2-3 in that tank.
There are a lot of special things that should be done for zebra's. Then he posted about the price, which would more than likely mean they are not true Zebra's. Yes there are a few other pleco species that are called and look like true zebra plecos, but they all have different needs. Until He can find out which species he looking at nobody can answer his question.

Yes tai95, I realize he needs to know all that. But you don't have to accuse people of intentionally trying to lie and misrepresent things.

"Why do people feel the need to lie so much on this forum? http://www.l46.de is a zebra pleco forum. It does has a list of breeders and the prices of zebra plecos at LFS and breeders. The cheapest one is 60.00 Euro ($77.00 US) for a 3cm fish. So if your LFS sells them for 10 you should buy them all and sell them. Next time post a picture that can't be back tracked to the original site and you may get away with your lie!"

I'm sorry, I just didn't think it was neccesary to accuse flagfish of lying.

No hard feelings?:)
