lol..i was just watching Dawn of the Dead with my sister..and right around the end, where they get to the dock..the zombies are running towards the guy in the truck..and she wails out "OOOOH WHYYY ARE THEY SOOO HUUUUNGRY"

The simple fact of the matter is you're never without your best weapon: Your brain. The average zombie has poor problem solving skills, no intellect, and very little in the way of co-ordination. Even if you're ill prepared at the start of an outbreak, it's vital that you keep your wits about you. A chair leg, a countertop, even a quart of oil on the floor can be a weapon when you're dealing with an enemy that can't think.
 
Good idea if your facing shamblers, but if it's the runners the best thing to do is just run. i wouldn't try to fight them, to intense and you can't hurt em.
