Thanks for the help, as soon as my stuff starts arriving in the mail I can start getting this thing up an running.
I got a little anxious and put the sand in to see how deep one bag got me. Its about 1-3/8" deep so I won't put any of the other bag in.
Just got the rocks in yesterday and should get the salt today. A trip to the LFS that has my RO water and maybe I'll be up and running this weekend.
Well, got the water in and started things up. SG is at 1.025 and the temp hoovers at about 80.7F (I think the pump is whats keeping the temp up). I will test my parameters tomorrow after everything has run for 24 hrs. Here are some pics, the guy at the LFS let my daughter pic out a piece of coral he bleached to put in the tank.
Looks good, congrats on the official startup. There are mods for helping with cooling down biocubes.

When he gets a dead one apparently. He maintains a number of large private reef aquariums for customers (they build them). So naturally he comes across dead ones and he bleaches them as a hobby. Most of the corals he had bleached were small, like they didn't take or something. He doesn't kill healthy corals or anything.

Pretty much what I expected, I'm using this week to monitor temp and so far it seems to hover at 80.1 all day and goes down to 79.5 at night. This weekend I'll introduce something to get the cycle going.

Well, I have micro bubbles I'm trying to get rid of. There is some slime in the 3rd chamber with the pump, but all in all everything is working OK.
