Even SA arrowanas haven't turned into a pacu type situation.

I've never seen an arrowana at Petsmart or Wal-mart.

my lfs has over 50 nice flowerhorns everyone worth more than $200

They are a scleropages that is US legal.

i got a jardini for $20
but some stores rip u off by selling for $50

actually sometimes you can, i've heard of people getting rays and other exotic tropicals for cheap. the best thing is half the time they come in from a shipment and they don't know the real value of the fish, or they come in as a trade and throw on a $12 price tag on an expensive fish

Yes, asian aros are illegal in all of the US,
what i was trying to say was sometimes big chain stores like petsmarts and petco DO get expensive fish, from all sorts of places (but they wouldn't be getting asian aros), they just don't know they are expensive hence the $12 price tag
