So I just discovered ich as well, regular old table salt that I use on my french fries, just dump that right in the tank? I have a pleco in the tank does that make a diff on how much? whats the norm what should I add?
Table salt is fine. The usual dosage suggested is 2 tablespoons per gallon, but I only used 1 tablespoon per gallon since i have scaleless fish in there (plecos and kuhlis) and it worked. Didn't hurt that I caught it on the first day with only one fish showing white spots. Don't forget to get the temp as high as your fish can tolerate for a week to 10 days.
