Ok thanks. I will add either an adult ancistrus, a few cories, or something else that I find at the store.

You could still get neons. But if you want more options you could get all sorts of tetras, barbs, or rasboras. So much to choose from that youll get tired of looking! Lol

Just go slow. Add very few fish at first and add them gradually. If you insist on adding fish right away, go with 3 corys to start, then add a couple more corys in a week or two if the water parameters will allow. Patience is paramount.

Sounds perfect. Feed them sinking pellets and very sparingly until you've established your water params.

Gotcha. They are still exploring and seem pretty comfortable.

I did some research and from their patterning, they are c. habrosus, not c. pygmaeus as I thought. I have read that these are a sensitive species, is this true? I really like them and do not want them to die.

From what ive read, it does say theyre sensitive but many people here have them and may say other wise. If there not wild types then you shouldnt be concerned as tank raised fish tend to be hardier. Like everyone said, so far it all sounds well. Just keep up with maintainance and check what params and add slowly if the params allow. Worst thing you can do now is overload the bioload by adding to fast. I hope youll add some pics of those cories! :)
