Drosera form a hibernaculum (a protective coating over the growth point) and then die back. Sarrs start to produce non carnivorous leaves known as phyllodia late in the season and then die back to their rhizome I believe. Not entirely sure what the mechanics of VFTs are but they start growing traps in a rosette shape before dormancy.

it won't be pointless...i think it'll just start out a bit bigger next year. I'm not sure about the drinking water...there's good use for the TDS meter we were talking about...

Thats why I left them all in the death cubes for now so the humidity would be higher but the Dew dried out the Pitcher and VFT still look ok.
