Just a little update... Big magenta has recovered from the trip and is moving around a lot more!

I do believe my blue is eating GSA! And my teeny patch of clado...

Another funny pic of little magenta - nomming on a stump which used to be rotala indica. The plants had a rough trip :( I have maybe 2 stems surviving... the didiplis diandra is still dying so I'm not sure if there's anything viable. Anyway, the tank is a mess, tomorrow will be planting/rescaping.

Don't give up on your rotala indica. Just cut off any bad bits, strip any leaves from the part of the stem going into the substrate and plant them directly under the light. They root very quickly. Once the stems have grown up nice and tall, you can start cutting them to make more for planting (and cutting should also make them bush out some).

Snails are looking great. :)

Never thought of snails in my tank but they are beautiful and look like
fun to watch! Haha, now I know what briggs are without having to ask.
I kept seeing people mention them, thought they were fish! What fish cannot
be kept with them, I would think loaches, anything else?

You should probably avoid any "nippy" fish - their tentacles(antennas?) are to long and worm like for many fish to resist!

Small/micro fish will do best with them. Harlequin Rasboras are also pretty peaceful, as are neon tetras... basically non-nippy fish. I've found even some of my female Endler's can be nippy with MTS (not sure about the brigs, so far so good). Bettas are hit or miss, most of the time they cannot resist munching on the worm-like antennae. I think also if you feed your fish wormy food like bloodworms or blackworms, your fish will be more inclined to nip at antennae.
