julidochromis in a 10 is usually not a good idea unless there is so much rock the fish can hardly swim. because just because you have a male and female doesnt for sure give you a pair i dont think. and thats not a very big space for them to get away from one another.

I suspected that. Getting the her was half the manager's idea, so maybe he'll take her back full price.

I would take the lone female back.

Take the lone female back adn you will be good. Makesure you watch your pair closely though to make sure they don't turn on eachother.

Cool yeah my Calvus and Comps are out and proud my friend they are doing so good right now so i am stoked.. I have 4 tanks with Calvus and Comps for each their own respectfully and they are doing great now just need them to grow baby grow hehehe..

Sorry either give em some time or make sure all water perimeters are doing great also make sure you don't have any bullies.. There pretty much a secretive fish aye..

^as an add-on to what Pitt said, specifically watch out for the julies harassing the calvus. I would not be surprised if they claim all the rockwork to themselves and leave the calvus out to dry.

Hold on-

The 3 julies are in a 29 with 2 queen loaches and 2 tiger barbs.

The pair of calvus are in another 29 totally alone. They have plenty of rockwork, so should I maybe take some out?

So there are no other fish to harrass them, and the water was checked the day before I got them and it was all fine. 0 ammonia and nitrite, 8.4 pH, etc. What's going on?

And another thing. Could I possibly add another female calvus, or will the same thing that happened with the julies happen again?
