Put it in a qt tank alone for a month and it's easy.

Can I just put it alone in the 75 for a month, I could do that. I wouldn't be able to purchase a separate tank.

Personally, I'd get the eel first. Lions really need a well established tank, IME. Either way, make sure the tank has completely cycled and has a strong bio-filter in place. Both fish produce a tremendous amount of waste.

I know about waste, that's why I'm only getting two things in a 75 gallon! I'm currently about to start cycling and I am predicting early June for the cycling finish date.
