My silicone job looks a little sloppy. not as pretty as the factory job, how can i make it look nicer?

Use blue painters tape and set it about 1/2"-3/4" from the seams so when you spread it with your finger you can wait 30 minutes and then pull the tape off, leaving a clean line.

Another neat trick with silicone/caulking.... Take an old credit card/drivers license/GNC Card, or anything similar, cut off one of the corners and make the distance of the cut as wide as you want your silicone bead to be. Helps if you dont over caulk and I bet if you combined it with the masking tape tip, it would look come out looking super clean. Just a tip for next time

tested the silicone in the sump and none of the compartments have leaks! Yay! Today and tomorrow I'll be cutting the PVC pipe
