Painting the back of a tank

is there any particular type of paint that you have to use?

I used some regular latex paint, flat black. I wanted to spray paint it, but I had no room for that and was unable to do it outside. Sometimes I hate apartments.

I used my bath tub to spray paint my light fixtures...but I'd be hard pressed to fit my 55 gallon in there and have room to work.

ok if you want it darker than keep it what you have and add black to the back and that will really darken it, thats what i did in my old tank and it made it look the same as the card
