I didn't read every post, so forgive me if I'm redundant.

Glofish are very peaceful/friendly fish, they're a type of danio. If you see a zebra danio (sometimes called zebra fish) at the pet store, they're essentially the same fish. They genetically engineered the natural ones to be flourescent. The bad thing though, they will not breed, ever. It's impossible.

Rule of thumb, danios will probably be happy with anything that isn't big enough to swallow them. So long as your other choice of fish is also peaceful, you'll have no problems.

Hopefully you have learned that you need to research before taking someones word about tanks and stocking. Don't blame the sales clerk for something you failed to do. You made the same mistakes many new people make, not like you're unique or special. It happens all the time. Learning from the established members is the best thing you could have done. This doesn't mean they are always right as each situation might be unique to your problems but advice offered is usually based on experience and research. Based on the advice offered, you might come up with a better way of doing things and what you learn might benefit us all. Be willing to take criticism. Hard to do, easy to say.

If your not sure about something, please don't be afraid to ask BEFORE you take action. Someone is likely to have an answer for you. Thanks for asking for advice, we will do our best to help. The longer you are here, the more you will know who to trust for information. Join us in chat sometime to either talk fish or to shoot the bull.

Yeah, Petsmart strikes again... I bought a 56 column style tank for my Oscar from petsmart the girls there thought I was crazy putting "just one Oscar!?!" in that tank
I told them I had done a bit of net research and found that most sites agree that a 40-55+ was necessary. I joined this group and itis the general consensus that I am barbaric and he must have a 75-90 gallon tank immediately!! (I agree that I want to see him in a 90 with a friend perhaps and have gotten rid of my couch to make room lol) But I ran into a lot of bad information
(below are some of the sites)

I hope your little chi works out well for you and take the criticism in stride... ignore the careless rude tones inferred in the post (its just misdirected passion) and take away the valuable information!! good luck!!
