i added my shrimp after 3 days i set up (put water and salt) my aqarium and is doing perfect.

After your cycle is completed is when you can start adding livestock to your tank. I personally wouldn't add anything to the tank with the cycle in process as you could potentially kill the animal.

thanks, any input on cucumber i am assuming that is and many others growing in tank. if they were to die for what ever reason can that kill inhabitants.

I haven't done any reading on them ... Yet but you can always try WWM.. In fact here is a quick link but as I haven't had them in my system it has fallen to a lower priority on my reading list.

you can add your cleanup crew as soon as your tank is done cycling...

just do a large wc before you add them to lower your post-cycle nitrates...

To answer your shrimp question:

Try peppermint shrimp, they should help control your problem.

Cucumber can be a problem if they get harassed or stressed. The split out their guts and it is exptremely toxic, at least that is what I have read. Good luck if you plan on keeping the cuke...
