Didn't you wash the sand? Or is it because of the dirt?

there wont be any sand in it. its miracle grow organic. i havent even added the black gravel.

I think once you put a layer of gravel or whatever you're going to put on top, it would keep the dirt down so it wouldn't cloudy.

I dont know but you should have put the miracle grow in first, with no water, then add the gravel on top so it keeps the dirt down. Once you fill the tank up with water, the dirt wouldn't float. I guess you can wait to see if the dirt sinks down but I have never tried this before.

oh well i put the dirt in then filled it with water so i could put the plants into the dirt and add gravel

you should have capped the soil first...LOL

I would drain the tank, add the gravel, then add water. Try to get out as much of the floating pieces as possible.

well its settling to the bottom. if it's not gone by monday ill drain it.
