My 185gal build in progress (lots of pics)

Looking forward to it

Yeah I guess. I'm more interested in having someone come in and make sure everything is still running smoothly. I've been powerfeeding since the first fish went in there, so I'm a bit concerned that 4-5 days without food will be a serious shock.

Coming to check on equipment, that is a great idea. Nothing worse than a pump dying on you while you are gone.....I have my brother check on my aquairums, feed them and so on. One thing good about brothers is they are trainable!

Final addition to the tank ;) I was going to wait, but he was in a tank full of reds and tigers, hiding under the filter because every time he came out he got beat up. I felt sorry for him so I brought him home... and now he bully's my acaras :p

The BGK is getting less shy by the day. It's still tough to get a good shot of him because he moves so quickly though:

I took a short vid at feeding time too:

Right on! Feeding by hand rocks!!!

your plants look good, what kind of lighting do you have? I say more plants and your tank will be perfect!

I am using "daylight ultra" tubes from home depot in a 2x 48" 32W fixture.

The powershot camera seems to make the plants look UBER green. They look nice in person, but not like the photos.

awesome BGK

Thanks ;) he's my favorite to watch. he's coming into his own for sure. I just fed them about 5 minutes ago and he was chasing the oscar away from "his" food. I really hope he doesn't get his tail bitten is all.

By far teh most fun way to do it! Every day those clown loaches get more agressive as they jam themselves between my fingers to get food. I worry because there are three cichlids circling and a whole mess of flapping red tails hanging out of my hand. I always figure someone's going to get his tail bitten pretty good.
