Most beautiful fish.

I'm not sure if this is a hybrid or not but I haven't seen too many of these before. Listed as a Otopharynx lithobates "greenhead rainbow". Common name, just haven't seen the "greenhead" version before.

If I had a 44 gal I'd go with a school of neon/cardinal tetras (whichever is available). :)

There are lots of really nice Cichlids, but I thought I'd throw in Threadfin Rainbows (Split tail Furcatas) and Endlers live bearers (though they'd be hard to find in a 44). Also - Congo Tetras...

I agree with the threadfin rainbows, they are wonderful, but I think, that a school of rummynose tetra's is one of the most wonderful things in any fishtank.

Threadfins (Iriatherina werneri) http://members.optushome.com.au/chelmon/Werneri.htm
and Forktail blue-eyes (Pseudomugil furcatus) http://members.optushome.com.au/chelmon/Furcatus.htm are two different species, but both are very pretty and interesting.
Nice severum 12 Volt.
