Do you stare at your tank??

Both my SW and FW show tanks are in my front room. I don't know how many movies I rented to watch and find my eyes drifting off to my tanks. My wife will catch me in this trance watching the fish and snap me back with "Are you gonna watch this movie" ..... Oh there I went agian.

My boyfriend always asks "are you gonna watch the tv or just stare at the fish?" because I do that same thing, I can't help, they are entertaining!

When I first set up my new tank. I had nothing in the tank but water, salt and a power jet that made bubbles.

I stared at the bubbles for 2 hours.

Did you say 240g???? Holy mother of nature! I can't wait to see your set up pics! Do you have a thread somewhere about this?

I'm going to buy it. it won't be set up until I am out of the place I currently am at. I knew this was temporary while I got my masters degree but the job search starts in less than 2 weeks for me to buy a house back home. The money has already been put back for the 240g and all that goes with it, just deciding on equipment and then whether it will be in-wall illusion or custom stand/hood. I will put up a thread when I start it. I don't want to have to have people move it, no way :)

what about everyone in the LFS? I stare at the same fish for hours. I went in today and stared at the same 12 little tanks for a literal hour and 15 minutes. My fish guys laugh at me but appreciate my appreciation.

I've been known to stare to the point where i am late for work lol
I have done that twice this week! I told myself this morning that it's a new personal rule that I can only turn on the lights, no looking in the morning. We'll see how long that lasts.

You mean there are people who don't stare at their tanks? I thought that was why people set them up in the first place, for something to stare out. My parents thought it would be cheaper than buying a tv for my room. Ha! Jokes on them. Boy, were they wrong.

Currently I am "glaring" at my tank. Stupid aiptasia seem so happy and well fed. I can't wait until I get my new syringe to start blasting them with hot water again.

I have my bettas in my bedroom and I stare at them while I'm trying to fall asleep. I work midnight shift so it is light in my room and the fish are active while I'm in bed. I keep telling myself to close my eyes and go to sleep, but I just can't stop watching them.

my 220g is beside my 50" tv ! and i it in this room all day almost and watch the tank!!!! not the tv! and at night i inspect it closly!!
