I'm not really a fan of unnatural colored tanks, but glofish are kinda unnatural colored fish. Very beautiful unnatural colored fish at that IMO. As I said, I'm just going to use this Crayola sand for a 20g glofish tank.
it still cost less here than buying aquarium sand from the lps. my lps sells if for $1.50/lbs..walmart has theirs for $6 for 20lbs. that's not that much. it's more than playsand but it's worth it if you want to add the color. i have already added playsand to my 2 largest tanks and i don't want them all to look the same. it should not be too bad for smaller tanks. besides, it will be fun to experiment a little and have my tank being something a bit different than everyone else's.![]()
How much is it anyway? I have to agree even though I don't know the price. We are putting together our 120g one piece (more like one dollar) at a time. The black aquarium sand we are getting is $18 for a 20 lb bag. Crayola has to be cheaper than that.
