PETCO $1 PER GALLON SALE!!!!

last year the 55 gal was $1 a gallon too... o well i think ill pick up a couple 29 gals and call it a day.

I've worked at Petco for almost 2 years, and the 10 gallon tank NEVER goes on sale. The only 10 gallon that goes on sale is the 10 gallon set-ups. Walmart does sell the 10 gallon for $9.82 as someone mention. I talked to one of my mangers that has worked for Petco for 8 years now, and she says they have changed the sale over the years. It used to include tanks up to 90 gallons. It doesn't surprise me that they have cut the sale. When you have dog food go up $10 a bag, you know the top dogs have to make money, God knows I don't.

Make sure you get your tanks early because they fly out of the store when we had the sale last year.

Its not even that much of a sale really. Few dollars off, and you still have to buy a hood and light.

It's a sale at my local store because I paid something around $50 for my 20l.

Hey if you want to pay regular price then go ahead :grinyes: The way the sale used to be you were pretty much getting tanks 50% off...as a 55 normally goes for $110 and a 20 going for $40. Thats a STEAL.

Who buys hoods? Get yourself some eggcrate and a shop light, or pick up a light from wal mart. Or pony up for a versa top if you want it to look nicer. :dance2:

That works easily for the 55gal being a 4ft long tank. But the smaller sizes are a pain, unless your gonna grow plants/corals and the stock lighting wouldnt work anyways.
