Crayfish Owners, Please Read!

stunning kim. she looks like she loves her new home. and she is just adorable.

She is very cute! So what happened with her babies?

O no those babies belong to bullit's cray. He was just showing. She is still a baby. Maybe in a few more months she will be ready to share genes with some babies of her own.

BTW thanks guys, I have become addicted to crays too now. LOL. I never relized how much fun they are. I would recommend everybody to at least try one.

I also had an experiment to fail :22_yikes:with her. I took one of my pea+ sized briggs and put in with her. Well needless to say there was an empty shell in there the next day. She won't bother the big ramshorns but I guess if they are small they are fair game. OOOOooooppps. Is all I can say. RIP little snaily.

the babies are doing fine. they left mommy a few days ago, but shes carrying a few still. there about 5 m/m max in size and hard to take a picture of. will keep trying though.

i have some old ones but thats cheating.

sorry for the snail Kay i also tried with no sucsess (sp)

As always just updating.

Ms Marley has moulted again 8-22-08. Looking great. I wish I could watch her moult but she always times it for times that I am not home :( .

I have started culling some mystery snails for different reasons and she hasn't eaten any of them (yet). To the plus side of culling is that if she don't eat them their shells will repair in her tank b/c of high calcium concertration and a ph of 8.0 in her tank.
I will wait for 1 more moult before adding more pics. Which should be next week. LOL it seems that she has this once a week moult down pat.

Marley is adorable! I want a cray but I'm sure they'll eat some of my fish :'( Im hoping to set up more tanks once I move and now Im thinking one will definitely have to be a cray tank!

I encourage anybody to at least try a cray they are too neat.
P.S. Ciaobella Sometimes they just cull out the weak fish and leave the strong alone. But then sometimes they just go for the brightes and slowest. My male guppy just got caught. Rip lil fishy. But he got to my women 1st so maybe I will get a male from his spawing. Sad to b/c he lasted longer than any other male. I thought she wasn't interested, FOOLED me.

guppies are the only fish my dont eat readilly. now and then they may pick 1 off but very often.
