What is your Career/Job?

Currently employed freshman. :) I have a job at my favorite LFS where I work 2 hours a day on weekdays and 5 hours on Saturday. This is just for high school money, but I want to be an Aeronautical Engineer for Boeing in Seattle when I get older.

Well, after 4 years of college getting a B.S. in Zoology/Physiology, took a job at an oil refinery. Intended on taking a break from school, saving some money and going back for a Masters after a year and a half. Then an unexpected baby came along and I wouldn't walk away from the responsibility. Seventeen years later, I double as assistant superintendent for the Crude Unit and the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

I work at my lfs from 9am to 2pm monday thro friday then saturday and sunday 10am to 6pm. I work at ESPN doing web design for ESPN radio and smaller sites that are connected to ESPN (not espn.com) 3pm to 11pm monday through friday. I also freelance for Computer Science Incorporated, Modskin Labs, DASH Printing, various smaller companies in the connecticut area. I also sell on ebay/craigslist.

gee lets see..uhm..where to start.
Have BS Science(Forestry)
worked in that field for experience.. choker setter. felled trees , limbed and bucked them. work in retail..got to mgr in sporting goods retail. went a different direction and became a Police officer(probably my favorite job but not good for relationships)
went to building engineering(facilities mgr) then telecom specialist moved into network and computers(infastructure)...in the health field ;)

definitely if you feel an urge to go to health industry I would suggest going that route.

the other thing they have a shortage of..Police..but that is a tough field to get into.

I was QA in an electronics factory-went back to school for a BS and joined the military (Air Force) and worked as an avionics tech for a few years. Worked as a civilian for the Air Force for a few more years and got my Masters in adult education. Still working for the govt. But not for the Air Force. I work for VA now--I'm the person veterans love to hate when they get their disability decisions.....:swear:

Of all the vocations thus far listed, I think it shows a great variety.

Right now I work in rehab - my own. Trying to get back on my feet and learning what I can and cannot do and trying to regain lost skills. The hardest part is pushing my mind and body when I don't want to. I also wish that my family would quit treating me as an invalid! I have made large gains over the last 3½ years. I am even starting to regain some of my memory ability.

i used to work in retail car parts and ran shops throughout the north east of england and then went onto to managing a dealership parts dept. i hated it eventually.
i know work in a call centre in the business dept.

Good for you and best wishes for continued progress. The medical field is a great place to start/have a career; there is always the need and helping people is very gratifying.........
