I'm gonna have Orangeheads out the wazoo!!!!!!

I just had a pair spawn in my 75 gal but I think the babies were eaten. This video is from my 125 gal, just had two pairs spawn not even a week after the pair in the 75 gal. Most of you probably don't know but I have been keeping geos for years and this is a huge milestone for me!!! I was really starting to get discouraged. Since my tap water here is horrible I thought this day would never come considering these fish are a soft water SA Cichlid.


It's hard to see but the beginning of the video there are eggs on the small brown rock in the corner.

I watched it again. GREAT behavior capture! At the very end, I think you have some fry in your substrate. Undergravel filter?

The ones in my 75 are the ones that didn't make it. The parents held them for 7 days and they vanished, I think my clown loaches had filet mignon on the 7th day:headshake2: I had two seperate spawns in the 125 which is the video I posted.

The fry you see in the video are almost ready to be transferred to their own tank and the eggs are looking great, should have fry in the morning.

Nope but they are near my intake to my FX5 and Biowheel. The dad has been releasing the fry about once every hour so it is about time for the youngsters to be put in their own tank. And in about another week I will have more ready to be siphoned out(ie. the eggs you see in the vid)

wow... those are gorgeous fish... I wonder if my husband would let me set up another tank for those guys...
