New Project

Cool I'm about to be Medically discharged. All messed up if know what I mean. haha. What kind of fish do you keep? If you are interested in some African Cichlids let me know I breed them. Got tons.

Yes i know what you mean;). as of right now i have a 30 gallon set up that has SA Cichlids, a 10 gallon with a Dwarf Indian for my daughter, and im setting up a 55 gallon for my girl (and it just so happens that she loves African Cichlids). Im going on leave next week for a month so im going to setting up (2) 20 Longs as qt tanks (hopefully Jolly's has a couple to sale) and me and a fellow Airframer:headbang2:will be building a 400 gallon set-up before he leaves IA

Cool let me know if you are interested in some. I have Red OB's, Red Zebras, Aceis and I have a Electric Blue Holding at the moment. I know a few airframers from when I was on the Kennedy. I'm HT but don't do anything anymore haha.

Lookin like a fun project :)

Well Guys I finally got the plywood to probably finish the breeding station. Got a pretty good deal on it. I went to Lowes and Home Depot and the hardwood plywood panels 4' x 8' on 3/4" was between $39 to $48 each. I need it 3. So I heard a while a go about these place downtown Jacksonville that have lots of wood and a good price so went to check it out and they had Birch plywood 11/16" 4' x 8' at $29.

So got the plywood all 3 sheets. Hope to do some work this weekend but I got a muscle spasm on my neck and still hurts a bit. Oh well.
So my wife gave me a good hand working with the plywood for the stand here are a few pics. The first few pics are the prep work to put the plywood on its final place and the last pic is the final look of it when looking at it from the front. I still have one whole side to go. Lots of work left.:duh:Ideas and comments are always welcome.

Update on the Stand finishing

So tonight with the help of my wife finished cutting and putting the plywood on the front of the stand. Ran out of wood putty to cover all the screw holes. Gonna get some type of molding to do the base and the top edges. Hoping to have everything set up and cycling in around a month probably if everything goes smoothly. :nilly: Comments and ideas are welcome as usual.

Great build and the pics are tremendous.

Not to be a buzz kill but the door into the house, she fits no? That sucka's humongonous.

Second rule of carpentry, right after measure once, cut twice, if it's still too short cut again.

Update on the Stand

Thanks Gunner I know my rack on the Kennedy was on that beige color as well. Well Foolishfish I have to say that When I first started the project before I put the last level I made sure it fitted by the door opening. haha.

Well today with the help of the wife we cut and pretty much put wood putty in all the screw holes and areas that need it. Here are a few pics from a few hours ago.
