No Zaffy, that's not unreasonable. Sound gameplay IMO. Why didn't you or Ogre suggest running him against Rich instead of Kashta then???

I never intended to leave my vote on kash, I put my vote there in hopes that we could learn something if rich were a communicating mafia member. If he was, then there would be incentive to try and save him. But, either he's not, or they've decided to cut their losses and they've certainly jumped on the lynch rich bandwagon that you guys have created.

I think he's scum because he hasn't done squat to help the town. Kash is at least putting pressure on people. That's helpful play imo. I was trying to be helpful by setting up a scenario where it looked like the vote wasn't such a slam dunk. Now, in the unlikey event that rich is a communicating mafia member, we have lost the chance to learn anything about his possible connections. He's certainly not posting anything, and nobody else is going to dare to try and swing the vote. I think this monoculture is not helpful to the town, it lets the mafia hide in broad daylight while we sit on our hands and wait for the next headline.

I'm almost positive that Rich is non communicating...he put Dawg in the three way tie after all.

Because of that, there's no way the mafia would even be aware that they needed to save him...sort of like with what I was telling Kash, what is the point in trying to save only a suspected teammate? Rich is less obvious than Wood was too IMO so it would be even more of a risk.

If we put someone else up for the vote, other than Kash, would we learn something? I don't know the answer but maybe it is something to discuss...I don't see any benefits myself so I think the run off on Rich is as good as it gets right now.

Night one. Dawg, a known communicating mafia member puts his vote on Zsand. Is it unreasonable to think that a mafia team may put single votes on their own teammates, especially on day 1, as a method of distancing?

You could certainly speculate that, so no, not unreasonable especially considering that Zs was Dawg's fall back vote and Z wasn't around to garner any more attention...

I was working on the possibility that he may have been a communicating mafia. However unlikely that was, I felt since it's a long 48 hour day, that there was plenty of time to explore that option.

At this point, we certainly won't learn anything. The conversation has been killed. Ogre will come in and vote Rich, because that is the only vote to make. I guess he could vote me since I'm so scummy too apparently. I don't think devils advocate is scummy though. So, we'll have a landslide whatever to 1 vote to lynch Rich, and we'll see what he is.

At least we can talk about who else is connected, or not connected to the know scum, maybe that way we can help the innocent team make a better decision on who to hit tonight.

I don't know if I can make that call right now Kash, if in fact you are insinuating that Zaffy is mafia. I have too many names swimming around other than Rich...TRS, MC, Z, Zaffy, DD...it's only 50/50 right?

Him and Ogre's decision to even the votes was seriously misguided but I am not sure where their intentions lie. It definitely looks like Zaffy was trying to blend in, but I'm also interested in what Ogre has to say when he returns.

Add in the fact that he (zaffy) perked my interest in Z, who's teenie tiny connection to Dawg might be worth pressing, I really don't know.

Anyways, the point of that particular post was when I read Z's response to Zaffy I thought he missed the switch, which sounded the alarms because Z has missed votes left and right this game. I reread it after hitting submit and saw that he actually acknowledged the vote change...

So now is your chance to grill a real live Mafia, have at it. And if he's on my team why on earth would I be pushing so hard to run him unopposed for the lynch? I want anything but a killed conversation, the melon question is something I do often when the conversation dies but you may have not seen me use it before. I always love it when people get defensive about answering such a benign question.
