I am going fish shopping. I am going to get a bunch of juvies and let them grow.
 
Wow that is hard on the soul when you have raised them up from small fish and then to find them mostly dead, just awful. But what a great feeling to have that kind of support and responsibility taken by Marineland.

Since they were bought and sold under new ownership a year or so ago I had a hard time getting them to replace missing parts. But recently things seem to be turning around in the CS department cause I'm getting great service now. its good to hear this type confirmation that they are turning around in their policy with customers. Good for you!

That's just awesome news for you. It doesn't replace the loss of fish you raised from youngsters but it softens the blow a bit. A little concerning for me as I've got all Stealths now after having overheating problems with Hydors a few yrs ago. Someone mentioned the old glass VisioTherms. I've got one of them also, great heater.

Real bummer about your beautiful fish :( but I am really impressed by the company, reimbursing you the cost of the fish and replacing the heater. Good stuff!!:clap::clap::clap:
 
Oh one thing I forgot to mention is that your experience has prompted me to not only use a thermometer that you don't notice unless you take the time to squint and read it, but to purchase some large thermometer color code strips and place them conspicuously on the bottom center of the aquarium horizontally on top of the plastic frame. This way all I have to do is glance at the color during everyday passing by and while I know these are not accurate withing 5 degrees they are close enough to signal a problem above 90 degrees the color hard to miss.
