I'm going with my gut on this. I think his method is misplaced. I think his going after Rich for disagreeing with him is questionable at best. Yes, rich initially dismissed it as a "scum move" with no support, but later he did give reason which Crawdad seems to have ignored.
Method misplaced, how? As far as rich, had he given a reason first there wouldn't be an issue. He didn't. He said 'evil', and didn't give legit reasons until pressured.
My favorite part - "I'm not going to name names, as there's no real unanimous decision to move forward with the plan. No sense bruising egos for no reason. "
So unless we all decide to follow your plan, you are unwilling to put some names out there. I am guessing you wanted OTHER players to name "a player who has historically been generally unhelpful (ie, lack of effort/lurking, little original thought, etc.) to the town, even when they've been town-aligned."
You are unwilling to call anyone out.
Maybe you want to reread my post again, JL. I'm pretty sure that I said that I didn't plan on proceeding unless there was LOTS of agreement in doing so...didn't say 'Hey everyone, who do you think is unhelpful?'
So yeah, with not a lot of support for the plan, I'm hesitant to just toss names out there.
Mad, based on your critera (a player who has historically been generally unhelpful (ie, lack of effort/lurking, little original thought, etc.) to the town, even when they've been town-aligned.) who would be your top suspects? Yes I have asked again.
There are no suspects, only candidates, and my top candidate would probably be Agassizzi. I haven't played with him, but usually read the games I don't play, and I find him to be somewhat of a lurker. Even he jokes that he plays the 'newb card' every game. As he was a PR last game, and Ice tends to hand-pick roles (vs. random selection) there's a better than random chance that he's not a PR this game.
What I don't like is that you have a plan, but don't want to take any of the risk associated with the plan. You want someone else to do the dirty work.
I retract my vote on Zaffy and vote to lynch Madcrawdad.
I think his plan was to cause friction between other players at little risk to himself.
To cause friction between other players at little risk to myself? To what end? Seriously. It's a 50/50 where nobody knows anything...essentially two EQUAL teams. How would my proposed plan work to only cause friction among the innocents? Seriously. I'd like an answer as to how you're claiming to see any scum-driven logic here.
Also this game is different. There might be 2 different groups of 2 talking to each other, but they also have a 50% chance of each leader to have picked an opposing team member so their could be no one talking to each other. Being a team building game, it will take a few days to see forms.
News flash! It's not a team-building game...the teams are already set in stone.
I would like mad to name some a players who have historically been generally unhelpful (ie, lack of effort/lurking, little original thought, etc.) to the town, even when they've been town-aligned.
Already said above. So once again, please explain where you see any scum-driven logic in the plan, and please be specific. Not just by saying that something is scummy, but actually explaining
how and
why it seems scummy (ie, exactly how and why it's bad for the town).
