Ice, you have got to be kidding! I was merely putting my early day one thoughts out there and I was not ready to vote at that point. Just because i am cautious or leery of someone does not mean i need to vote there ASAP. apparently being non committal is my play style. guess i am jsut wishy washy, kinda like a wet noodle! :lipssealedsmilie:
as for DD/Mael, I am not setting either up for the vote. Why? are you worried about them?
Your whole brain storm about how it would be better to lose you then FF (if we were to lose an innocent) just seems like a round about way of claiming inniocence with really saying it...to buy into that logic we would have to assume you are in fact innocent, which I am not ready to do.......
I would like to place my vote now but i really think i should wait until this afternoon when my "event" is over and i dont feel so rushed.....

not sure why you guys were so bent over the statement... I saw what it said and meant, honestly, it does look like you are playing with the words to make them seem he slipped....

I for one just misunderstood what he was saying and was confused which is why I asked. I understand what he meant to say now and I have no issue with it.

I retract my vote for FF and vote to lynch LabRat.

My reasons for this are simple:

She is voting Ice, because she thinks he is playing mind games.

She had an agenda to twist Ice's posts, when it was clear to any reasonable person what his plan has been all along and what he meant by his post.

Lab knew the plan, in fact, isn't that why she voted Ice in the first place?

Even though I disagree with Lab's take on Ice being scum because he doesn't mind being lynched, I do agree that his post was confusing until he clarified it. I don't think Lab was trying to twist anything. I think she was reading it the same way I was. This post of yours seems scummy to me Annie. Mostly because I don't see how Lab twisted anything. I was the one who pointed out what I thought was a conflicting statement from Ice. I could be off but for now it is the best thing I have so far...

Yes there are others that have stated things about thinking Lab is twisting Ice's words but you decided to vote her for it...which seems opportunistic to me.

I have a question to all those voting FF. Are you voting him because you truely think he is scum, or is he just an easy vote for his posting style? Not that anyone will answer this honest or anything just courious. I keep looking back, yes he does post all over the place and crazed if you will, but as it has been stated many times apparently this is just FF. I do realize it does not mean he is innocent, but there are so many that jumped so quick on him for his "scummy" posts when it is obvious he is just being him.

true, but the way you laid it out makes it seem more like a dead give away than the mafia having to guess whether you're still reading off of your list of suspects for investigation. saying "I will invest so and so" is a lot more direct...

I also have to agree with dawg on the whole lab thing...i dont see any words being twisted, but the meaning was more or less clear. I dont fault her for wanting clarification. JMO.

checking in before I head out to our celebration event and thought I had better go ahead and vote. I vote to lynch Ice. call it OMGUS if you want but as stated before I dont like how he proclaimed innocence without really coming out with it and expected all to buy into it. I will be back later this afternoon with more time to re-assess if needed..........

As a supposed townie, you seem to be awfully trusting of other people's opinions.

Why do you continue to beat yourself up like this? It's pathetic, and certainly isn't going to get any votes retracted for sympathy. The majority of your recent posts have had some sort of self-insulting comment in them, and frankly, I (and I am willing to bet I can speak for the rest of the townspeople) don't care.

It's called 'appeal to emotion' or AtE, and it's a scum-tell. The problem is, that even after 5-6 games, FF still drops scum-tells like gum wrappers (regardless of alignment).

Let me ask the three of you this, do you really think scum would volunteer to be lynched?

Stating a willingness to be lynched, and actually being willing to be lynched are two different things in this game. You need to go back and read a few older games...you'll probably find dozens of instances of scum saying, "Detective, investigate me...it'll help me clear my good name".

WIFOM is a big element of this game...

the reason I quoted the above post is because outside of what FF is trying to say (which I still am not all 100% sure about), I find something odd in this post. The first part, you spell psychic as "phycik". Next, you spell it as . Not only is it correct, but it is bold... why? So then I read on and I see that you can't spell "psychic" correctly when typing off the cuff, nir can you go back and correct it when you see that it's wrong... but you can use a word like "expendable", and spell and use it correctly? Did you have a spelling test today?

The correct spelling is actually a quote from me that he cut and pasted into his post. Not sure why he put it there, and not sure why he bolded it.

To the actual point in question noob vs vet. I think FF is innocent,he always posts scummy so he is hard to figure out. If you are going to vote off an innocent then I said you may as well vote me off, since you're killing an innocent it may as well be one that can read the game and the players in it. The evils could use my posts to twist and turn to get others lynched because I do post a lot and with many theories. Who are the evils going to connect to FF to get the town to lynch other innocents?

I do like Wizzes assessment, but for all I know he is evil and is coming to my rescue because it makes him look good when I show innocent. But for Kash to name 3 points to show they can't be team mates is also BS. Look we posted the same thought at about the same time, sorry but that can be planned.

Ice, saying that you "think FF is innocent" is different than saying that you don't find him scummy.

Then in your comment about Wiz, you say "for all I know he is evil".

Why is it that you're willing to give FF the benefit of the doubt and dub him "innocent," yet when referring to Wiz, the pendulum swings the other way?

For those who think its anti town, I'm not saying the plan is to vote me off. I'm saying that FF makes himself such an easy target that the evils could easily get him to look scummy when he isn't.

I'm the one who called it anti-town, and it is. Essentially by saying "I welcome being lynched" you've claimed vanilla townie for no apparent reason. If you're being truthful, your comments could help scum direct their hits when fishing for PRs.

If we can find some one more likely to be scum I'm all for voting that person, I'm pretty sure it isn't FF and I know its not me. But as long as it looks like an innocent is getting lynched it might as well be me.

Okay, again, you're pretty sure that FF isn't scum. How? It's one thing to say that you're not finding him scummy based on any scum-tells he's dropped, but what town-tells has he dropped that have you convinced otherwise?

In the last game, I made the DISASTROUS mistake of posting at the last minute, and it was recommended to me to post early, as it is easy to change later.

I believe that you were scum in the last game, so wouldn't this advice have been given to you in scum-chat?

Lab, these responses to Wiz crack me up...

In this first part you pull the old "If I were scum, would I do that?"

I agree, his enthusiasm for the game is great. I'm not sure if he's scummy so I don't want to lynch him over being excited. Don't you think if I were scum I'd jump on the easy lynch of FF? I'm certainly not leaning him innocent but I don't want to make the mistake I made in that game you mentioned again. And if you remember, I was a communicating innocent that game.

Then here you proceed to school Wiz on WIFOM, and how scum won't always do what you expect them to.

See my response above. It's the whole reverse psychology/WIFOM argument. You find it hard to believe so they do just that.

Do you see the disconnect here?
