The begining of a shellie tank...

ive read that the micro (micro as in size, not microlepidotus) cyps like Utintas which stay alot smaller than regular cyps or jumbos can be done in a 30g, however, i have a group of 12 and i dont think i would put them into a 30.

and toddnbecka was talking about Psuedotropheus saulosi when they said mbuna cant be mixed with tangs.
 
Ok, I will stick with the set up I'm thinking and leave others out. Just trying to come up with a way to have a couple others. It's not doable in a 30 it sounds like. Of course I'm sure before I have it done, I will have asked about several others and other options :).

Now for a new question. Do you know if they call "egg crate" anything else? I went to Menards, Farm & Fleet, Sears and a lil ma and pop store we have, none of them knew what I was talking about, so I was wondering if there is another name for it, or if you know what it is normally used for so I can try and figure out which department I should even be looking in. Only other place I have near would be a Home Depot, hoping to find it there tomorrow.

LMAO!! Ok, I see the way I read it first was all wrong....DER, I'm such a dork sometimes...I knew that already, not sure where I came up with them as being Tangs?!:uhoh:

Yeah, I think that is what I'm looking for....it usually comes in a big rectangular shape, white, plastic and you can cut it to the size you want right?

LMAO!! Yes, that is what I want...I even asked over in the lighting section at Menards, but had a "moment" and couldn't think of what they were used for:drool: the guy there sent me to pluming and the guy there sent me to office supplies, then it was over to shipping materials and then I just gave up. I'll go to Home depot tomorrow.

Going to start tearing apart the sump, and wanted to get the crate stuff to put in before the sand and rocks.
 
Oh, hey is louvers pronounced Loo like louggie or lo like low?
