CP terraium - Plants only

Thanks for the info J, good to know. I get a slight drop in temp and humidity in my paludariums during the winter anyway, I wonder if that would be enough. I might have to give it a shot in the next tank. Would be a great way to control the extra fruit flies that the fish don't get to, when they make it to shore.
Glad to share! I've read that the drop in temp in the winter from growing them on a windowsill indoors will give it enough of a break to over-winter. Haven't seen any specific guidelines, but I would guess an overall temp in the high 60's - low 70's would probably do.

Australian Pitcher plant looks amazing. Could tell its small from the size comparison to the 3" pot. I got several small aloe veras in small 3" pots so not hard to get an idea how small it is.

I never knew there was so many varieties of CP's. I knew bout honeydews pitcher plants and Venus Fly Traps and you got those and many variations of them but one I wasnt aware of which I dont see in your collection is a butterwort. Barely seen this plant today. Check it out.

Is there a reason why this isnt in your ever growing collection???
Actually, I've been holding off on the pings simply because I got so fascinated with the sundews and neps. :grinyes: At some point, they'll definitely be there! I love the flowers on them.

Oh ok lol. This one along with many other CP's I found on ebay. I would get CP's but im afraid Ide kill them and that would make me sad.

If there's anyone who can kill a plant, it's me. I'm surprised at how well they're all doing.

Hehe... if I can keep them alive, anyone can.

LOL I had a venus fly trap as a kid and it died within a few days. I dont know nothing bout humidity control or temp control for plants. Ive had some many plants indoors and they have all died. Thats why I own mostly Agaves and Aloes now. Maybe Ill try CP's later on. 10gal tanks are pretty inexpensive.

I think everyone had a VFT experience as a kid. My brother had one that died pretty quick. There are a lot of neps that "should" work well as houseplants in So. Cal.

;)
