CP terraium - Plants only

I think I am, dare I say it, more concerned about my plants now than my fish...I know, shame on me...

Tsk tsk tsk lol. How dare you care for plants more then fish lol. I care bout my plants alot to so no worries. Luckily mine dont need much attention. I just water them and thats it.

wow,... i love these types of plants, but could never keep them don't know why i never though of using tanks to keep moisture and humidity up,..lol guess I've got another illness up and coming,.. thanks,..lol

BTW do you feed them insects? or just treat them as plants,..

Also I know with the Venus Fly Traps after opening and closing a couple times that head dies. Not sure if this is the same with honey dews.

Hehe... you say you could never keep them; but that's just not true. For the most part, they're like anything else. If you know what it wants, you can figure out how to give it. These guys are really relatively simple.

They don't actually need much so you can feed them but they'll likely get enough on their own.
Yep... this. I tend to feed my neps frozen blood worms from time to time. And I give the droseras some crushed up fish flakes. Other than that, they can have what they catch. Feeding them too much can actually rot leaves.

Yep. And tricking the trap into closing without food inside shortens the life span even further. It's not quite the same with sundews, but overfeeding a leaf can rot the leaf.

I spend as much time looking at the plants as I do the fish tanks. My room mate always asks me if I'm watching the plants grow again...

LOL jbradt I thought bout my Agaves with your last comment. Some Agaves grow huge flower stocks and by huge i mean like 30-50' high in a few days. It is said you can actually hear them growing when they get there stocks. Sadly they die in the process. Once an Agave begins to bloom the plant below begins to die. The flowers get pollinated and the seed pods bust open and the seed float away. The plant eventually dies completely and falls over. But yeah durin that time you can actually watch ur plant grow =)
