I have also been looking at that filter but without flow design specs I have been reluctant and waiting for a review. From what I can see the intake is a center strainer like the magnum which means that the flow must take place from the outer circumference of the filter sponge to the center. If that is the case then the filtering surface area is huge. Since the sponge diameter is 9" the circumference must be 28" and since the height of the sponge stack is about 18" minus the valve height, the surface area would be 28"X 18" and equal a total filtering surface area of approximately 400 to 500 square inches of filter surface area which is more then 4 times the surface area of the largest home stacked basket canister filter made.
So its quite promising especially for the price. You should buy it and post a review.
