Wiz, you make a good point...yes normally by this point most would have a vote out there, and most games we would be wrong and lynch a innocent. I usually, unless it is for something extremely strong do not go with a land slide vote...so my vote most likely would not be on Ice in a normal game.

Well Wiz wish I had more to offer but I don't and won't be around much till this evening. I didn't tell who I would shoot after Ice because at this point I wouldn't shoot Ice. I'm undecided - I mostly read him as just wanting the gun so bad he can taste it and it's coming out in his play. I'm leaning most likely innocent on G. Kash gives me a bad feeling for the reasons |I posted. Also she made a point to explain why you might be a bad choice for the scum. If she is scum that would be a good way to make her self look innocent kind of like saying I wouldn't have picked him but then I know his schedule better than others so it couldn't be me I know better.

Sorry not seeing much else that I would base a shot on. Here's to good shooting.

That is something I thought about too, the fact he may want the gun so bad he doesn't care if another innocent has to go to get it. Then I think maybe he would think we would think that and not shoot him. The fact he says his shot would be on me, and for the reasons really makes no sense to me though.

As for Kash, well she is very possible. I just am not sure she would pick Wizard as a first simply b/c it could easily be pointed at her.

Salt is really buggin me at this point, he came on said he was going to read and comment....then nothing.

I don't have a lot to say this morning as my mind is elsewhere but I still stand by my shot on Ice. I have to agree with most of what LG has said. Especially where mentioned that Ice is kind of reaching with his thoughts.

I do think that he is scum but if he turns innocent I guess he's got me in his sites so it might come back to bite me in the rear.

Just want to clarify something in my posts. I realize I have been calling Jspigs (JP), in my posts where I say JP I do NOT mean Pap...I do mean Jspigs. I always call Pap...Pap never JP and I realize there are players who call him that (JP) so I thought I should clarify before ppl think I was talking about Pap in my posts.

Really, at this point the reactions to his posts stand out more to me then his posts do.
I know he started with "hope you get one", others kinda jump on him quickly as to why only one...for some reason to me that stands out, I didn't personally take it as he only wanted you to get one, but hopes you get one so you could continue. When others jump on him immediately it just stands out IMO, like trying to make him stand out.

I was thinking about the comment about picking a name out of a hat. Actually, right now for the first person it's not a "dumb" idea IMO...how much confusion would it of caused had they picked a newer player, quite a bit I think.
They picked a good vet though, which kinda points to the vets of the game..most of the newer players haven't really played with Wizard and only have last game to go on and he was Mafia that game.

When FF first posted this thought, We all thought it was absolutely ridiculous. To think that the scum would do something like that.

However, there are a few that may be ballsy enough to throw something like this at the town. I am not saying they did. I just want my thoughts out there in case I pick wrong today for the next slinger to consider. We have no voting trail to follow and the town is tight lipped.

Am I reading something wrong? You said you hope he gets 5...from the way I read it there are 4...(A, B, C, and D)?

Rich, this post rings bells all over the place to me. The "LG" does not feel right to me thing is posted pretty much every game I play (well, not last game when I actually was mafia)..and most always it is a mafia that starts it or keeps it going.

Rich, I'm sorry but IMO there is a pretty big difference in "considering" and "hesitate". Considering would seem to mean you would "consider" doing it. Hesitate would seem to mean you would most likely NOT consider it.

Good point to make here is that Tay does seem to be posting as she did in the WW game. However that is the only game I played with her so I have nothing to compare her posting when innocent with.

Oh Wizard, I really have no way to answer this right now. We still have lots of time left to look at ppl and think, it is way to hard to pick one person at this point, let alone 2.
I understand your reason for asking this question, but at this point I just can't give you a answer.


I'm glad you brought this up (snipped from your post here), it was something I wanted to address also.
JB, see it as you will but personally I think the reactions to FF's posts hold more meaning then his actual posts do. I wasn't by any means saying I didn't think his posts look scummy (they usually do), but I get more from the reactions to his posts then his post them selves.

Ice, for reasons pointed out several times. He may be truly trying to help you out Wizard, but his references to "if he were mafia", he really does seem inconsistent, his reason for wanting to shoot me, just do not sit well with me.

Jpigs, as said before just seems to be posting way to good for a noob, and after thinking about Ice, I could see him (Ice) having JP post the way he has so he can come back on and say he (Ice) thinks JP is "distancing" from me, then JP comes on and now he see's no reason for suspecting me...come on, is that so if you DO shoot me because Ice wants you to, they think it will "clear" him in some way?

Rich, now I know this is going to sound strange but (and I do thank you for your kind words Rich) he is being WAY to nice about me. I think pretty much every time someone has "cozied" up to me they were mafia.

I still have a hard time saying who I would shoot, but I would have to say one of them would be my top choice at this point.

Why when people jump on FF for posting what is obviously screwy, do the people jumping on him stand out more, but when they jump on Ice it is Ice that stands out?

Is it the fear factor, because Ice is so good at this game?

I have noticed that
FF, even though he is FF, has some pretty good insights into the players here. There have been times he has nailed someone as scum when I didn't get that read.

Yes, I remember that post, but what is your question about it? If it is why did I say that...well simply, I feel the mafia find him a easy person to "pick apart" and the reactions to what he says, really say alot about the person posting and continuing things, or throwing it out there as "bait" so to speak to keep others looking at him.

Again, I am not sure if you are asking me something about that or just posting it to be seen. Personally, a "random" person isn't such a stretch to me. People who "jumped" on him for the post again, to me seem to be throwing bait out there to see who would bite.

I don't know why they would pick you Wiz. Only person off the top of my head is Kashta but that would seem slightly obvious, wouldn't it?

At first didn't think this meant anything but she could be putting it in your head either that it wouldn't be Kash which would be distancing or that you knowing Kashs way that she might actually do that so you will suspect her more.

Chill gives me an eerie feeling but hasn't done a whole lot to deserve a shot IMO. I thought he was a little quick to throw random names out there based on a past game. Yes, mine was one of them so I fully expect someone to point that out.

That being said, I'm starting to get that anxious feeling in my gut about you. Now that I've had a better read, I'm missing the "in your face" Pappy that I'vel come to expect... at least when you're innocent. You seem pretty passive so far.

JB has an anxious gut feeling about Jpap then over Jpig they become friends.

Like I said, some of the stuff Jspigs has posted has been bothering me, so I went back to look a little closer.

I'm not comfortable with "floating" the idea of Rich being mafia so soon, especially with the qualification at the end. Seems like trying to bait others to jump on it.

The list thing was believable the first time he brought it up. It's too early for it to be helpful IMO, but now with JS bringing it up again, it seems to me like he's more trying to take the temperature of the town than "give us something useful".

Here's where the post above becomes important... JS, what's the difference between FF "slipping up" and covering it up by saying "I"m FF" and saying "I could be wrong, I"m a newb?" Pot, meet kettle.

This is the second time you've posted this same thing... do you have anything more to add?

In summary, JS seems to be playing a pretty sophisticated game for a newb without any coaching. I'm not buying it... Jspigs just hit number one on my list with a bullet... so to speak. :laugh:

To the first part: uh yeah, that is how the game is played. We make lists and vote although in this game ultimately one person decides who goes. (remember this as well).

I find it odd that someone who has read the game and should know that 12/15 of those playing participated in that game somehow would suggest earlier that we create suspect lists. Sort of suggesting the obvious...no?




I dunno...I am not good at distinguishing between overzealous newbs and scummy newbs but this has a different vibe to it...its not so much self destructive (as we are used to) as it is trying to help but sounding fake...Js has pretty much been a follower at this point and it seems like he just wants other people to throw out ideas so he can latch on and agree with them.

Now I see what you mean. I was concerned about a lack of posting early on. When that picked up today, it made me relax a little about you. Now that I understand the misunderstanding, I'm a little less anxious.

I guess Jpaps case against Jpig was a Tums or Rolaids for JBs anxious stomach.

Now, I do have to say that I agree with JB and JP about JS. :nilly:

I vaguely mentioned JS before and have thought that maybe he was trying to distance from Ice, but it's hard telling. The cries of innocence are sounding a bit desperate IMO and we all know how much weight they hold. If it was a one time thing I would ignore it but three times on one page?

Really anyone going hard after a noob on Day 1 in any format is questionable and that Tay agrees with the assessment only strengthens my scum vibe on her.


Now we get into the Don't shoot LG because she is the scums MVP.

This whole post seems pretty scummy to me, Rich.

Shooting LG on a just a feeling? It also sounds pretty scummy that you say her getting the gun wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Given her ability to help out scum while innocent, would you really want that for the town? (No harm meant, LG, I mean it all in good fun.)

I've got to agree with Tay here, Rich. No offense to LG, but with her well known position as ACville's resident weather person, she's not the one I'd like to see with the gun if the shot is wrong. Though I can see that the scum team would feel easier about her having it than Ice.

How many times has innocent G been given the scum MVP award lately?

That's ok JB wouldn't want you to feel all comfortable this being the first D1 you didn't suspect me.

This last post stood out because at the time they hadn't really had much to do with one another till this point.

Yes, I remember that post too. I had gone back to re-read things, that is when I realized it so that is when I asked.

Yes, Tay is one I think needs to be watched...she really has not said much of anything so far, and I remember her posting that she would post more later...but I don't think she did. In other games I have played with her, she really did not post much though.

Wizard, I am never one to vote early, I like to see what is actually happening before making a vote. I change my mind so many times in these games voting early just isn't good for me. When there is time, I use it. If I had the gun, I would do the same thing...wait and get as much as I could before deciding. To answer what would I do in your shoes is impossible for me, because I am not in your shoes. You have just as much time as everyone else, I think using it is best..unless there is a chance you wouldn't be here to use the shot, there is no reason to rush it.

Oh, reactions to Ices post are noticed too. It is just that ppl tend to run with FF and turn his posts in to something they are not, because he is a easy one to get rattled and cause to post something to get him self lynched. So yes, the reactions to his post stand out more to me then the reactions to Ice's. Ice likes to try and "lay traps" which really just confuse me, I just don't get most of them, so no the reactions to his post do not stand out as much to me personally.

Ice is someone I go back and forth with, with each post I read of his. At the time of the question, yep he is who worried me the most.

Yes, if given the chance and not jumped all over causing him to "FF" out, I believe FF can be a good player. AGAIN, the reason reactions to his posts stand out more.

LG, I did say yesterday that I would post more in about 2 hours and after my husband left for work, I did exactly that. Now by saying I'd post more, you might have expected a longer post than what I gave but what's done is done and I did keep my word.
