Converting 65 Gallon to planted. Help.

easiest way to attach java moss is out of the water. this way you can do whatever you want to it without disturbing everything around it... then put the wood back. if you have to make the java stretch to get the look you're after then doing it in pieces will be fine. it will be easier imo to do it all in one clump if you can though. i'd just pull out the wood, place the java about where you want it, wrap it with sewing thread, tie it up and put it back.

I got a lowlight package from Bobs, great price and some extra's thrown in a banana plant being one of them.

The tank 4 days later

Hey everyone,

I had a choice between doing the dishes and taking some pictures of the tank. I'm sure you can guess which I chose to do lol.

The water is actually crystal clear. It the wall behind the tank that's making the pictures look like it's not.

I know this is moving really slowly but the sand, Carib Sea: Torpedo Beach, is here. About 100 lbs. And the pressurized CO2 system is here, I just need to go get a paintball cartridge. I ordered the plants tonight. I don't know what I'll be getting yet. I ordered a custom aquascape package but I'm creatively stunted lol.

I'm getting really excited about this project though. I'm hoping to have it all together for our Canadian Thanksgiving. Fingers crossed. Thanks again for all the help and advice you guys have given me!

What CO2 system did you get? And who did the custom Aquascape?

Looks good! I'm just watching my driftwood and substrate do nothing at the moment. Lights and filter coming soon. But still don't have my head wrapped around the CO2 system set up yet. I want that set up before i put plants in and then i want to make sure everything is stable before adding fish.

Hi Russellah, I got the Sea Chem system that is for the paintball canister. The aquascape was done by aquariumplants.com

JasonG75, I had a background for it but it fell off and I just haven't gotten around to getting another. It's on the to do list though.

CO2 and plants is the last thing on the list. oh and fish. I have 3 platies and am planning on doing 10 or so in this tank. Luckily my LFS said they'd take any babies i can't keep.
