Mafia 92: Night of the living Mafia... the play

Here is where I mentioned my suspisions of Tank on Day 1.

Now I am done defending myself, I have more important things to tend to.

My bad I don't know how I missed that.

I guess at this point my vote goes to Cnote. I'm going to place it now to protect myself from UD but I'll be back tomorrow to 1st see if Cnote actually shows and to do more digging.

I vote to lynch Cnote

I really like this post. I think the conclusion is far fetched, but it may have some nuggets in it. When we take a razor to the theory and cut out all the fat, I think it comes down to this.

Noods caught Razzs slip. When a teammate catches someone else there are two options 1. Hope nobody else catches it. or 2. Call them out.

1. This is a big game, almost 20 players, with many vets. Hoping that none of these players sees what Noods saw is a risky play. It's possible to lose your teammate on day 1 with no gain.

2. By calling them out, you assume the same risk in potentially losing a teammate, but you gain the potential to be cleared as a townie in many peoples eyes.

If Noods calls razz out on the slip, then she is obligated to vote him. She'd look very scummy if she didn't. When the town starts to take hold of the idea she drums up a story that something "piqued" her interest but she doesn't have time to explain or prove it. She then retracts her vote. For some reason that I don't think is ever really explained, she posts her vote on Tank and leaves it there until near nightfall.

30 mins before nightfall Noods is actively posting. At 20 mins untill night I switch my vote form JM to Razz, this takes JM off the block and puts Razz there instead. Noods posts again. With 9 mins left Mad calls noods out and shows that she can break the tie, and save the town from a no lynch all by switching her vote to one of her "suspects."

With 2 mins left she finally switches her vote and we kill scum on night 1, Noods is a Hero!

What bugs me, is why wait until so close to nightfall. She could have switched as soon as I made my switch. If she wasn't thinking about it, no big deal. But she went back and forth with Mad over it.

Maybe she was hoping someone else might come in and break the tie and lynch Cnote instead?

I don't think that Noods would have pointed out the "slip" as a teammate of Razz. He had already been getting questioned (and I think maybe got a vote or two by that point) over the comments he made so why would Noods add to the case? Noods was also quick to throw the vote after Razz answered.

good point, but Ice... the tieing is troublesome..... but on your next thought though, why would mafia put one of their own out so early in the game in order to make one of their own appear innocent... to me, it doesn't make much sense...

Dawg, I might have skimmed some but I did see you mentioning suspect things about a few people, I see very little in reference to Ice (and Wiz) .... yet you feel compelled to vote for Ice.... what was the strangeness that compelled you to vote Ice over anyone else?

So the tie by Noods is troublesome but the one by you way closer to nightfall is what....okay because you skimmed?

Dawg is voting Ice, Ice is voting CN. Let's throw DD in the mix and have that run off I suggested. We need to lynch scum tonight. As we all know we have a zombie hit most likely coming into play tonight and with the percentages it is most likely he will hit an innocent.

I vote to lynch DD for reasons previously stated

Let's see where everyone goes from here.

Looked back and Razz did have two votes (from Mad and Dawg) when Noods pulled the post of Razz's and somewhere around half the town had yet to even place a vote. Her vote also put Razz ahead of Jm at the time. I do not see a teammate adding fuel to the fire that early in the day. The jump to Cnote and comments about Jm last night are interesting but still I am comfortable with keeping Noods as leaning innocent in my book.

DD's play has me baffled. I still think she got caught when Noods ended up sealing Razz's fate and couldn't completely back peddle from the subject she brought up before the first nightfall. She totally misrepresented what went down with her tie vote and attributed that to skimming...yet is calling people out for skimming her posts.

Cnote has been pretty non existent since getting a lot of attention D1. The OMGUS-like vote on Noods last night was way out of left field and they came storming out of the gates at Noods after trying to play the confused card the day before. Odd play indeed...

Tank has said some interesting things to say the least. I did not really agree with the initial vote on DDay and chalked it up to general newbiness but it bugged me when they later tried to call DDay out for low post content. The quick vote on Cnote last night without much reasoning could easily be a distancing vote as things were pretty well spread out at the time. I'm hoping everything is ok IRL though...

Dawg's vote for Wiz threw me for a loop. When I read his post he did not seem very confident at the time yet still placed the vote there. Ice was on his shortlist, already had a vote, yet it was placed on Wiz instead and stayed as a singleton vote. At the time it struck me as odd that Dawg never really mentioned anything about DD or Jm when both were very popular suspects. Even though we were wrong on Jm it seemed as if Dawg didn't want to take a stand either way on the two.

That being said about Dawg and can't say I really trust Wiz at this point. I also am not used to Kash and Lab being as quiet as they have this game but it is what it is. The only thing that concerns me about Ice is the comment he made about Razz being a distant third on D1. The aggressiveness or whatever you want to call it on D1 seemed normal to me. And I don't think I would be the first one to say that Rich is nearly impossible to read. Lastly I would lean DDay more innocent than not because of the switch to Razz.

Should be on and off the site for maybe another hour or so. Tomorrow will be a bit spotty during the day and I have to work at night so I will miss nightfall. I'm going to play it safe and vote now...

I vote to lynch DD

I've spent a lot of time browsing around, looking at votes and suspects, wondering about my next vote. Fortunately, it's the weekend and I have the luxury of time to change my vote if I feel there's reason to. A lot can happen between now and nightfall, so we'll see.

My top 2 suspects at this point are DD and Ice. I was inclined to vote DD because I'm pretty sure she's scum this round. However, it appears that Dawg's vote on Ice is locked in. When he placed his vote, Dawg told us he probably wasn't going to get back again before night. That means Ice just may be more lynchable right now than DD is (which is pretty rare in his case).... Of course, this depends on what other people decide.

I vote to lynch Ice.

My reasons:

1. Ice's initial "crap logic" vote against Mad.

2. With so much going on Day 1, Ice remained oddly focused on Mad. I still don't see an objective reason for that and this still bothers me.

3. The jostling back and forth between Mad and Ice Day 1 was highly one-sided. Seems Ice was pushing Mad more strongly than his arguments actually support.

4. Ice has mentioned he suspects DD. But when faced with a choice he opted to break an existing tie at that time between DD and JM for the lynch by voting JM. I know that proves nothing concrete on it's own but it could have been subtle protection to spare DD.

5. I say that (#3 above) because while DD's scummines is even plainer for us to see today than it was when he "suspected" her on Day 2, Ice seems to be overlooking DD now. He's already voted C-Note.... possibly hoping the others who voted C-Note before will jump back there instead of taking DD out of the game.

6. I've noticed Ice has fueled the debate over whether Noods as evil would sacrifice her teammate.... yet while DD's alignment has also been in the forefront, Ice doesn't contribute to that topic much, if at all.

7. Also can't forget that "distant 3rd" suspect ranking for Razz.

Since I've made the statement in #3 about the vote standing, here's what the Night 2 vote tally looked like at the time Ice placed his vote:
1 Ice - Doom (382)
2 DD - Wizard (445) Rich (496)
2 JM - Kashta (460) 2H (492) Ice (497)
1 Kashta - JM (487)
1 Wizard - Dawg (493)

6 players yet to vote: C-Note, DD, Jpap, Lab, Noods, Tank.
As it stands now, I just wish I could vote them both.

If Ice is in the running for lynch and Dawg can't move his, mine stays right where it is. If Ice doesn't draw as many votes and there's a good chance of lynching DD next, then I'll change my vote to her to ensure it.

I guess at this point my vote goes to Cnote. I'm going to place it now to protect myself from UD but I'll be back tomorrow to 1st see if Cnote actually shows and to do more digging.

I vote to lynch Cnote

I'm interested in knowing your thoughts on DD today, Ice. Would you be willing to vote her?

Vote Count:

Ice (2): Dawg, Kash
C-note (1): Ice
DD (2): Wiz, Pappy

Sure I see no reason not to. My original vote was a placeholder and I was hoping a motivator to get Cnote jumping again.

Thoughts on DD.Pretty much would be rehashing what others thought. I'm never really good at figuring DD out. I usually need to find a slip or just take the chance.

I don't know why everyone keeps bringing up day 1 against me. It was day 1 and I admitted I was to narrow minded in my search and overly aggressive. What have I done since that really perks interest over anyone else? Can we hold day 1 against everyone? I was overly aggressive and voted an innocent. You were barely noticeable and voted 2H an innocent with the reasoning :

Just have a few min from the office to get in a vote before night. Couldn't figure out who to vote for yet while already running late for work this morning.

Can't really take time to sift through other issues. Wish there were more votes placed to see who everyone is pointing at so far and why... looks like 8 or 9 still haven't voted.

Anyway, the best feel for this I had earlier today was 2hobbies made a useless post yesterday asking an unnecessary question whether those killed by zombies also become zombies and get a hit too. If that were true, surely the order of nightfall events would reflect overlapping zombie hits and so on. So IMO, that was either just for the sake of posting nonsense when he couldn't come up with anything useful to say, or it was designed to keep stirring things up as a deliberate attempt to distract the town. Either way, that gets my vote right now.

I vote to lynch TwoHobbies.

Won't be able to post again until after nightfall.

Is that case any better then the one I thought I had on mad?

I retract my vote on Cnote and vote to lynch DD

I do not like the way he has been keeping Noods in the spot light while at the same time saying I have her leaning innocent. Covering both sides if you ask me. Besides this will maker this interesting.

I vote to lynch Ice.

I will be around all day, just planning on ballasting some more of the railroad. I will check in regularly to see what is happening.
