Anyone been fishing lately?

man, I miss fishing!! I wish there were some good spots around here.... the most I've gotten were sunnies..... a catfish or two over in Clark/Cranford and a largemouth bass in Otterlake campground (not sure if that's PA or Jersey).
 
Caught some nice small-mouth bass two weeks ago. They're starting to hit on top-water which is always a heck of a lot of fun. The biggest was 16". They always get released - we never keep anything

Catch and release is the way to go. As of yesterday ive been looking on Google Maps to find other fishing spots near me. Not much luck yet as ive already tried most of the places or its prohibited to fish there :/ my search continues though! Btw, top water is always great. Especially if the fish jumps completely out of the water

Good fishing today! I caught a bunch of porgies (even more after the picture was taken) and two sea bass.

Took my kayak out to Galveston Bay yesterday. Just after sunup the slicks started popping up and I caught 3 little dink specks using Big Nasty soft plastics. I lost one decent speck before the dolphins showed up. there must have been twenty in the pod and they were hunting. I set my rod down and just watched them knock fish out of the water while they fed for around thirty minutes. I was surrounded and some came quite close but they never bothered me. Fishing was over with when they showed up so after the show I went in.

I love bass. Just put some salt and pepper and grill that sucker up.
