I do have time to move my vote (well, till like 3-ish then I'm off to work again) and I am definitely worried about being voted off day 1 (again...), but at the time of the vote I didn't think I would have time to do either. In all honesty, I am surprised and worried that I have time to post so much since it means I'm probably forgetting something important -_-

All I've done is answer the questions asked of me in a manner I deemed appropriate. I have a tendency to overexplain things, but that should be news to no one here. There is nothing odd about my posting at all if you compare to all the other times I've played ever, so I do not understand where you're getting the whole "he's posting strangely" thing from.

Why don't you all drop the FF thing and look at other people for a short bit. You can still vote me, but at least take a peek at others so that you have some leads to go off of after I've been lynched.

But what's wrong with my vote sitting on Zaffy? Is there some kind of horrible crime in voting him instead of someone else? Since I don't think my vote will get him lynched there's no reason to move it, right? Well, except peer pressure.

So, how about that DD? With her little nudge? I'll be happy to discuss another topic if people shift to it or ask me about or talk about it in general. I just don't see anything scummy yet this game except perhaps how Wiz and Pappy seem to think I started the FF show when all I did was answer questions asked of me.

I think the issue isn't that you've voted me, it's instead that the reason you've given is clearly false. I'm not calling you a liar, but you certainly didn't put thought into your vote. A senseless vote does nothing to help the town. A senseless vote backed up with '...and my vote won't be moving because I have no reason to move it.' (post 50) does even less because it shows all of us that you're not even willing to be open for discussion on where votes land. If you're going to keep a vote on me, fine. But keep it on me with a clear reason.

You're being attacked on lazy play. I'm not convinced it's scummy, which is why I haven't voted you on it. It's certainly doing nothing to help the town though. At worst it's a distraction that the scum will be happy to let us argue about for days to come. With that said, I'm done with it for now.

I didn't see any jokes, but to each their own.

So there was joking around but no jokes? What? Am I missing some weird point about semantics here? I don't see how this could ever be determined to be something substantial...ever...

I'm really not that funny of a person and my sense of humor is quite lacking.

Casting a vote to not UD is one thing, but to do it when you were a day prior to nightfall is a little strange coupled with the fact that you came back to defend your vote. Was it your intention to cast your vote and disappear and just lie low but then were worried when people started looking at you so you came back?

Long post short, I am a busy person with a load of classwork to do, combined with working today in grocery which I expected to be a lot more tired from. I'm busy tomorrow too with lunch with my dad, a take home test for MicroEcon, and editing an English paper into a final draft, + working in the evening. I don't think I'd be able to make a very good vote for day one regardless of what is posted over the course of the day, and I honestly don't have time to worry about my day 1 vote. Day 2 I'll have more time since I'm not crunching my schoolwork.

I honestly doubt that Zaffy will be voted off - besides the fact that he IS a good player, there is also my reason for it: because he questioned my status as #1. If THAT gets him lynched... well then I'd be impressed at the people who took it and ran with it.

Well, fair enough on that, but how would my vote have any relation to "

completely unrelated" reasons? In that case it would not show me to be guilty or innocent, since my reason was not the cause of his lynch.

Normal people sleep. I, on the other hand, can't stop refreshing this thread haha. I think that Zaffy won't be lynched mainly because he IS a good player, good enough not to get lynched unless something really goes wrong. Even if he WAS lynched, my vote wouldn't be the cause because no sane person would get behind "FF is #1" as their reason.

Why are you making such a big deal over this? It was literally a vote to make sure I had one, on an individual I felt wouldn't get lynched, and for a completely BS reason. What about it makes you so very agitated?

Have you seen most day 1's? They usually end up with votes scattered fairly evenly, so the chances of Zaffy being the person lynched at exactly 1/8. So forgive me for assuming my vote would mean nothing on day 1 with a 1/8 chance of it being on the lynched guy -_-

The only answer to that is I am surprisingly not tired after my work shift. I'll probably pay for it tomorrow (almost 1am right now) but even so I can't fall asleep -_-

Anyway, sorry for getting myself into the center of things even before Day 1 is over lol. Guess some things never change. My opinion is one of them, and my vote won't be moving because I have no reason to move it.

I thought I'd be completely pooped after working but turned out to still have a ton of energy and was able to keep up with/post on the thread. Tomorrow, on the other hand, is probably going to be very busy for me, since I have things to do tomorrow besides working and getting myself lynched (lol).

How many times do you have to remind us that regardless of how busy you were you just weren’t tired?

I find this interesting because you state that you will not be busy for day 2 and then state that tomorrow you will be busy. The quote that states tomorrow was made today, 4/6/2014, and since nightfall is today day 2 will be tomorrow. So FF will you be busy or not?

I found this response to be a bit odd, Kash seemed to just accept FFs answer with no second thought. It is D1 so there isn't much to go on until questions are posed..but

Not gonna quote the whole thing, but I fully agree with Wizard.

Only reason for a safety vote a day in advance is if you don't expect to get back in time... Or I guess if you intend on laying low.
Not going to vote based on this right now because FF is well advised to minimize posting either way. But I will say it wasn't a good answer to the question.

This kind of bothers me.

Night fall is at 7PM eastern. Which would be 4PM pacific. I don't know what it is anywhere else in the country and don't know where FF lives. But to vote so early "to avoid UD and by choice" since it is day 1 smells scummy.

Day 1 being a crap shoot is, in my opinion, a cop out and a cheap way to cover up a vote. Yes, we have a history of lynching innocents on D1, but, if I remember correctly we have managed to nail scum as well. Although not very often.

I would be more comfortable with a vote cast early in the morning the day of night fall to avoid UD than I am with one cast early morning the first day of the game. Even before there has been a chance of game related posting to occur.

One more thing that bothers me about this vote is that his "crap shoot" vote fell to some one who in the past has demonstrated competent ability to root out scum. Something the town can ill afford if he is innocent.

She didn't have a response one way or another until Wiz posted that he didn't like it, also she didn't quote his disagreement with FF. Her last sentence stating that it wasn't a good answer seems to have kicked off the FF frenzy. Was she intending to kick off this flurry of FF posts and then if it didn’t work out for her she would go back and say that the Wiz had started the descent in the hopes that since she did not quote him it would be missed?

Sure, I meant he's well advised to minimize posting to keep from turning another game into the FF show. That would apply in his case regardless which side he's on.

Wiz, I got your main point. That was pretty obvious. But that last part of the post appeared, to me, to be disingenuous. To imply that anyone who votes for someone who could be helpful as innocent is acting scummy is a very large stretch. Again, that's the only part I took major issue with...

I didn't expect FF to start this up either, but I'm not going to let his odd posting go unnoticed.

Fair enough, maybe I misinterpreted what you were saying in your posts. It has been a long time since I have played and I have missed it greatly.

I am rusty at this and just trying to revive mafia at the forum. (I am hoping that this game will spark enough interest in the vets to get another one going).

Zaffy, I'd be happy to move my vote to someone if I had a better reason than "they are attempting to get me lynched over a mistake of time judgement I made" I'd move the vote. This said, because I know that my mistake makes me look bad I can't really blame them for pointing it out and suspecting me for it. I had a bad judgement of how much time I would have on my hands, and this is the result.

That said, the only two reasons I can have for voting someone is DD's nudge with Bally and Pappy/Wiz's attacks on me for my faulty reasoning (which I still don't get because I think the reasoning is fine...). I don't really have any good reasons to vote anyone in the game yet (which is why I think Day 1 is usually a crapshoot btw) but since I DO lack a legit reason to vote you Zaff I'll move it to DD since she's the only one who has don't something interesting that wasn't related to me.

I withdraw my vote on Zaffy and vote to lynch DD for reasons stated above. Vote subject to change until 3:15pm (when the bus comes). I know this is contradictory to my previous post (50) where I said it wouldn't be moving but, thanks to others, I agree that my vote for Zaffy does nothing to help the town and feel that a vote on Pappy or Wiz would be heavily biased by their interactions with me. Sorry DD, but that leaves basically your post (though I have been skimming the thread because I'm trying to take a test right now).

Jpappy touched on this already. I'm more bothered by DD's support than Bally's initial question. To me, Bally seems to be trying to kick a bush. DD doesn't really add anything except maybe seeing if there is any traction. Why bring it up if you have nothing to really add, and you drop it.

Since I won't be online much today and tomorrow (urg, 9 hour shifts putting stuff on shelves... much joy) I vote to lynch Zaffy for questioning my place as first!

FF's vote is where the disagreement in counting systems between Wiz & FF and I becomes a town issue. I don't think Wiz is, necessarily, trying to make this a discussion point. But FF cements the idea with his vote.

As night fall approaches, it would appear that most are at least trying to kick some bushes to see what scurries out. There are a couple of exceptions.

FF, you have posted more than anyone yet the only questions you seem to be asking is why is everyone pointing out your inconsistencies in your posts. Have you no other questions? If you were to sit back and read your posts as an outsider looking in, you would see the obvious inconsistencies and then you would not wonder why you are being questioned.

DD, with all that has been posted, have you not found anything to say? Is there nothing that raises questions in your mind?

Your "good point" post to Bally is the closest thing we have seen to a game related post we have seen from you and it still did not really say anything. It was even commented on a couple of times but we have seen no response from you. Granted, none of the comments actually asked you a question so let me be the first.

Would you care to expound a little further on that? What do you think of the participation and posting of some of the other players?

I am not sure where my vote will fall tonight. I am hoping to see something to help me decide. I am not getting a clear gut feel on anyone yet so that is of no help at this point in time.

At least 3.5 million times should do it I think. When you quote all my posts like that I really DID post way too much about it but people kept asking the same darn question and I only have 1 answer to it...

I should be less busy for Day 2. When I Made that post (at 2:15am no less) I was referring to the 6th (today) which is again turning out to be less busy than I thought it would be, which again worries me because I'm probably forgetting something important.
Also, Bally, interesting take on Kashta's posts. Not sure if I agree, though I will say it struck me as interesting that she changed her stance so quickly but I'd forgotten because of the mess between Pappy and I.
